Jon gained his PhD in synthetic organic chemistry from the University of Leeds in 2000.

He has spent much of the past two decades managing projects within a CDMO, ranging from small scale development to support Phase 1 projects, to later phase projects to support commercialisation of active pharmaceutical ingredients. He also has experience of drug product development through working with an early formulation group which was acquired by the CDMO.

Since 2020 he has moved into a CMC role as a director within a biotech (Galecto), managing outsourcing of development projects of both early and late phase projects. He is experienced in vendor management and managing the regulatory aspects to support clinical supply of IMP.
