Haripriya (Priya) Shankar, PhD, is a hematology oncology medical affairs professional with 13 years of diverse experience across solid tumors and hematologic malignancies; various modalities including small molecules, monoclonal antibodies, bispecific monoclonal antibodies, and oncolytic viral therapies; and across HQ and field medical roles.
Dr. Shankar most recently served as a Field Medical Director supporting Pfizer’s malignant hematology portfolio including multiple myeloma where she has developed a track record of building strong rapport and compliant scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders across academic and community settings. She has focused on communicating and building awareness on key scientific information, supporting clinical trial recruitment with specific focus on community institutions, investigator‑initiated research, and leading advisory boards to gather impactful insights. As an asset lead for lymphoma, she drove the evaluation and synthesis of field medical insights to identify trends and evidence gaps, resulting in successfully shaping the medical affairs strategy.
Additionally, across roles, Dr. Shankar has supported first‑in‑class launches and label expansions, developed proactive and reactive medical tools that strengthened HCP engagement, developed training programs for field medical, mentored new hire and early‑career MSLs, and championed robust field – HQ communication and collaboration. Her colleagues describe her as a collaborative, optimistic teammate who strengthens team culture.
