Will gained his PhD in 1991, in Immunology and Virology sponsored by Unilever (UniPath), before holding a post-doctoral position at the National Institute of Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC). He went on to Procter & Gamble Healthcare, where he was responsible for clinical development in a number of therapeutic areas, including respiratory and GI. He led and delivered programmes throughout Europe, the Americas, South Africa and China.
Will is also President & CEO of Cancer Targeting Systems (CTS) Inc., a non-viral gene therapy business from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is Chairman of the John Innes Centre, the world-leading research Institute focused on plant science and microbiology. In 2011 he was appointed by the Science Minister to the Council of the BBSRC, the UK’s leading funder of bioscience research. In 2012 Will was elected to the Board of the BioIndustry Association and sits the Executive Committee. He holds a Masters degree in Clinical Research as well as an MBA from London Business School.
