Sue Foden

Sue FodenSue has an MA and DPhil from Oxford University and held positions at AERE Harwell and Celltech before moving to establish the technology transfer company of the Cancer Research Campaign (now Cancer Research UK), one of the UK’s leading cancer research charities. The success of this company (Cancer Research Campaign Technology Ltd [CRCT]), led to the establishment of a second venture, Cancer Research Ventures (CRV) in 1998 which carried out technology transfer for cancer research organisations worldwide. Sue was Chief Executive of CRCT for 12 years and in the last 3 of these, was also Chief Executive of CRV.

 

In 2000, Sue joined Merlin Biosciences Limited as Director of Technology, subsequently becoming an Investment Director. She currently holds a number of Non-Executive Director positions including at Vectura plc, Source Bioscience plc, Cizzle Biotech Ltd., Oxford Ancestors Ltd., Cascade Ltd., Rainbow Seed Fund Ltd. and is a member of Advisory Boards for Elara GmbH, EIF/University of Leuven Initiative in Drug Discovery (CD3), University of Manchester Premier Fund and Endeavour Capital.
