Novel Epigenetic Programmes

CellCentric’s primary therapeutic focus is cancer.  The company is taking a thematic approach to drug discovery and has already developed assays for multiple target classes including protein methyltransferases, protein demethylases, ubiquitin ligases. Useful start-points for medicinal chemistry have already been identified which are now being progressed.

R&D delivery is being carried out through a mixed model of in-house capabilities and contract research organizations, in Europe, the US and China.
 
Longer term the company may expand its platform into areas such as diabetes, inflammation and cardiovascular disease.
 

Pharmaceutical Company Interaction

Given CellCentric’s dominant innovation platform, the company is a natural partner for pharmaceutical companies seeking a springboard into the important and emerging field of epigenetics. Relationships with two top tier Pharma companies have already been established covering novel targets and cell reprogramming.
 
CellCentric has multiple targets that could be pursued in parallel to its current prioritized programmes. It is envisaged that in addition to the company’s own development activities, other selected target programmes will be taken forward through Pharma collaboration to IND and beyond.
